- THE GOLDEN BIRD A certain king had a beautiful garden, and in the garden stood a tree which bore golden apples. These apples were always counted, and about the time when they began to grow ripe it was found that every night one of them was gone. The king became very angry at this, and ordered the gardener to keep watch all night under the tree. The gardener set his eldest son to watch; but about twelve oclock he fell asleep, and in the morning another of the apples was missing. Then the second son was ordered to watch; and at midnight he too fell asleep, and in the morning another apple was gone. Then the third son offered to keep watch; but the gardener at first would not let him, for fear some harm should come to him: however, at last he consented, and the young man laid himself under the tree to watch. As the clock struck twelve he heard a rustling noise in the air, and a bird came flying that was of pure gold; and as it was snapping at one of the apples with its beak, the gardeners son jumped up and shot an arrow at it. But the arrow did the bird no harm; only it dropped a golden feather from its tail, and then flew away. The golden feather was brought to the king in the morning, and all the council was called together. Everyone agreed that it was worth more than all the wealth of the kingdom: but the king said, One feather is of no use to me, I must have the whole bird. Then the gardeners eldest son set out and thought to find the golden bird very easily; and when he had gone but a little way, he came to a wood, and by the side of the wood he saw a fox sitting; so he took his bow and made ready to shoot at it. Then the fox said, Do not shoot me, for I will give you good counsel; I know what your business is, and that you want to find the golden bird. You will reach a village in the evening; and when you get there, you will see two inns opposite to each other, one of which is very pleasant and beautiful to look at: go not in there, but rest for the night in the other, though it may appear to you to be very poor and mean. But the son thought to himself, What can such a beast as this know about the matter? So he shot his arrow at the fox; but he missed it, and it set up its tail above its back and ran into the wood. Then he went his way, and in the evening came to the village where the two inns were; and in one of these were people singing, and dancing, and feasting; but the other looked very dirty, and poor. I should be very silly, said he, if I went to that shabby house, and left this charming place; so he went into the smart house, and ate and drank at his ease, and forgot the bird, and his country too. Time passed on; and as the eldest son did not come back, and no tidings were heard of him, the second son set out, and the same thing happened to him. He met the fox, who gave him the good advice: but when he came to the two inns, his eldest brother was standing at the window where the merrymaking was, and called to him to come in; and he could not withstand the temptation, but went in, and forgot the golden bird and his country in the same manner. Time passed on again, and the youngest son too wished to set out into the wide world to seek for the golden bird; but his father would not listen to it for a long while, for he was very fond of his son, and was afraid that some ill luck might happen to him also, and prevent his coming back. However, at last it was agreed he should go, for he would not rest at home; and as he came to the wood, he met the fox, and heard the same good counsel. But he was thankful to the fox, and did not attempt his life as his brothers had done; so the fox said, Sit upon my tail, and you will travel faster. So he sat down, and the fox began to run, and away they went over stock and stone so quick that their hair whistled in the wind. - Autor: The Brothers Grimm - ISBN13 Show: 9781312986299 - Lieferzeit: sofort - Verfuegbarkeit: verfuegbar - Verlag: Sai ePublications - Kategorie: Belletristik,Romane Roman,Erzählung - bei ciando eBooks - aus Affilinet Produktdaten

- Whether I shall turn out to be the hero of my own life, or whether that station will be held by anybody else, these pages must show. To begin my life with the beginning of my life, I record that I was born (as I have been informed and believe) on a Friday, at twelve oclock at night. It was remarked that the clock began to strike, and I began to cry, simultaneously. In consideration of the day and hour of my birth, it was declared by the nurse, and by some sage women in the neighbourhood who had taken a lively interest in me several months before there was any possibility of our becoming personally acquainted, first, that I was destined to be unlucky in life; and secondly, that I was privileged to see ghosts and spirits; both these gifts inevitably attaching, as they believed, to all unlucky infants of either gender, born towards the small hours on a Friday night. I need say nothing here, on the first head, because nothing can show better than my history whether that prediction was verified or falsified by the result. On the second branch of the question, I will only remark, that unless I ran through that part of my inheritance while I was still a baby, I have not come into it yet. But I do not at all complain of having been kept out of this property; and if anybody else should be in the present enjoyment of it, he is heartily welcome to keep it. I was born with a caul, which was advertised for sale, in the newspapers, at the low price of fifteen guineas. Whether sea-going people were short of money about that time, or were short of faith and preferred cork jackets, I dont know; all I know is, that there was but one solitary bidding, and that was from an attorney connected with the bill-broking business, who offered two pounds in cash, and the balance in sherry, but declined to be guaranteed from drowning on any higher bargain. Consequently the advertisement was withdrawn at a dead loss-for as to sherry, my poor dear mothers own sherry was in the market then-and ten years afterwards, the caul was put up in a raffle down in our part of the country, to fifty members at half-a-crown a head, the winner to spend five shillings. I was present myself, and I remember to have felt quite uncomfortable and confused, at a part of myself being disposed of in that way. The caul was won, I recollect, by an old lady with a hand-basket, who, very reluctantly, produced from it the stipulated five shillings, all in halfpence, and twopence halfpenny short-as it took an immense time and a great waste of arithmetic, to endeavour without any effect to prove to her. It is a fact which will be long remembered as remarkable down there, that she was never drowned, but died triumphantly in bed, at ninety-two. I have understood that it was, to the last, her proudest boast, that she never had been on the water in her life, except upon a bridge; and that over her tea (to which she was extremely partial) she, to the last, expressed her indignation at the impiety of mariners and others, who had the presumption to go meandering about the world. It was in vain to represent to her that some conveniences, tea perhaps included, resulted from this objectionable practice. She always returned, with greater emphasis and with an instinctive knowledge of the strength of her objection, Let us have no meandering. - Autor: Charles Dickens - ISBN13 Show: 9781365715136 - Lieferzeit: sofort - Verfuegbarkeit: verfuegbar - Verlag: Sai ePublications - Kategorie: Belletristik,Romane Roman,Erzählung - bei ciando eBooks - aus Affilinet Produktdaten

- Tonight is the night! I get to go on my first ever date. Sure, Daniel, whom I´ve been in school with since forever, had to wait until after graduation to finally grow a pair and ask me out, but better late than never! We´re going to the movies, and dinner after. I wonder, will my date also lead to my first kiss? By the time I´m all dressed up and ready, I decide to wait on the sofa next to Jack, who is watching the game. The clock soon strikes seven, but Daniel is nowhere to be found.... Soon my doubts begin to take over and I wonder if it was all a cruel joke? Is he going to show up at all? After starting on such a high note, my hopes for the evening are in tatters. Nothing could possibly console me, except perhaps a confession by the boy I grew up with. 1. Language: English. Narrator: Cheyanne Humble. - I thought it was a dream! There was a handsome man running his hands over my body, and it felt incredible. It was my very first time with a man, and I was upset when the alarm clock woke me up. That´s when I discovered I wasn´t really dreaming! There really was a man right there in bed with me, and I don´t know why I couldn´t resist him, but I couldn´t. I told him I was a virgin and I wanted to stay that way, and he didn´t mind. He just took my virgin ass instead! It was my first sexual experience ever, and it was first anal sex. What a way to be welcomed to college! Warning: This audiobook contains very explicit descriptions of sexual activity during a first anal sex encounter. It includes virgin sex, stranger sex, rough sex, first anal sex, deep throat, and forced semen swallowing. It is intended for mature readers who will not be offended by graphic depictions of sex acts between consenting adults. Here is a preview: She´d never even seen a boy´s dick, unless you counted the time that Tommy tried to flash her at the Prom. She´d only allowed two boys to kiss her, and one boy got his hand on her breast briefly before she swatted it away. But right then, the feeling of this god touching her was amazing. She heard a buzzing that started out soft and grew louder and she realized that the alarm clock was waking her up. Still, the dream persisted, and she was thankful for that luscious state between sleep and wakefulness as the dream continued. Eventually, though, the buzzing got to be too strong and she reached out lazily with her hand to turn off the alarm. She only got about halfway there before her hand came in contact with a man´s arm. Her eyes flew open and she turned around. There was a man of maybe five or six years older than her and he was naked and she was naked and they were on her bed, and it was his hand touching her breast, his hand between her legs. She looked at his muscular body and gasped. She had no idea... 1. Language: English. Narrator: Jennifer Saucedo. Audio sample: http://samples.audible.de/bk/acx0/007457de/bk_rhde_002536_sample.mp3. - When Ashley catches her boyfriend cheating, she schemes with her best friend Carmela to devise the perfect revenge. They enlist the help of Carmela´s friend Thomas, a muscular blonde man, who is more than happy to lend a hand to the situation. Warning: This audiobook contains very explicit sex including first time anal sex, backdoor sex, anal sex with a new friend, oral sex, revenge sex, and more. Only mature adults who won´t find graphic sexual content offensive should listen to this story. Here is a preview: That Saturday morning, I spent a good long hour in the shower, scrubbing and shaving everything until my whole body was satin smooth. A healthy application of cocoa butter would make sure my skin was glowing and soft. I did not put anything special on for the daytime. I needed Jeff to think everything was normal until the right moment. I had picked this say for the plot because he was going to quote play poker with the guys unquote, so I was pretty sure he was meeting up with little miss play-with-your-dick. Thomas kept sending me little text messages, teasing me and hinting around at his plans for the evening. All of them made my cheeks warm, and some of them made me warm between my thighs. He was very good at this apparently. Jeff and I milled around the apartment together without really saying much to each other. It was obvious that we both had someone else on our minds. Jeff finally left home around five o´clock, which was perfect because Thomas was due over at six. That gave me just enough time to slip into something a little more suitable for the evening I had planned. The little slip dress I chose was perfect. And I took the plunge and wore nothing underneath, just for fun. Thomas said he would bring over dinner, and I just figured he was going to pick up a pizza. When he arrived promptly at six, he was carrying a bottle of wine. 1. Language: English. Narrator: Concha di Pastoro.
